E-A-R Materials E-A-R's proprietary high performance materials include the ISODAMP damping damped-isolation molding thermoplastics, VersaDamp thermoplastic elastomers with adjustable damping and durometer, and the ISOLOSS family of broad temperature-range polyurethane elastomers, LS cellular, low compression-set foams, and the CONFOR family of ergonomic energy-absorbent foams. The ISODAMP, ISOLOSS, and VersaDamp materials are highly damped elastomers, with extremely low rebound characteristics. The four standard materials platforms are; ISO DAMP C-8002 Series Elatomers ISO DAMP C-1000 Series Elatomers VersaDamp 2000 Series TPE's ISOLOSS HD thermoset polyurethanes The ISODAMP C-8002 series thermoplastic molding material combines excellent damping performance and mechanical strength with compliance to environmental and other high cleanliness specifications for high performance solutions. This unique family of elastomers will meet most of the emerging "green" initiatives or specifications. The ISODAMP C-1000 series thermoplastics are highly damped vinyl materials that exhibit extremely low amplification at resonance and quick return to system equilibrium after shock input. These materials are soft and pliable, yet strong and wear resistant. 3 formulations are engineered to work in discrete temperature ranges. C-1002 from 13C to 41C C-1105 from 27C to 54C C-1100 from 35C to63C The VersaDamp platform offers adjustable damping and stiffness, whereby a part's dynamic response can be customer tuned. VersaDamp also works in a wide temperature range, making them ideal for electronic and automotive applications. The ISOLOSS LSFoams are fine-celled, low compression-set, high density polyurethane foams. They provide excellent resistance to collapse and vibration isolation performance. ISOLOSS foams feature low out-gassing and good dimensional stability, with tight thickness tolerances. For these facts, LS foams are easily die cut and fabricated with pressure sensitive adhesives’ (PSA's). These products offer excellent flame resistance, specific models to meet UL94V-0, FAR, ATS and QPL MIL specifications.
