Custom Laser Cutting Capabilities
Laser cutting services are typically utilized to create samples or prototypes that are produced quickly and within budget. It is an efficient way to test products before beginning a high-volume application through one of our other converting services:Laser cutting is also well-suited to quickly produce parts with high tolerances as there is no need to create a custom tool or die. Simply provide us with your CAD or PDF drawing file, and we can supply parts within minutes.
State-of-the-Art Laser Cutting Equipment
We utilize a Thunder Laser Bolt Pro 32, which is always dialed into spec and ready to go. Our trained laser technicians work closely with you to ensure we select the perfect setting for your material. The bed measures 30” x 20” and can cut most materials up to .25” thick.

Laser Cutting FAQs
What advantages does laser cutting offer over die cutting?
Laser cutting is more flexible for complex geometries, short runs, quick-turn work, and designs that might change. Die cutting is often the better fit for high-volume production that needs repeatability. Laser cutting can produce intricate shapes without upfront tooling investment, but as volume increases, rotary die cutting may be faster and more cost-effective per part. What materials can be laser cut?
Laser cutting works well with foams, films, fabrics, nonwovens, papers, some plastics, and select composites. Thickness, density, coating, and material composition all affect cut quality, and some materials, such as PVC or certain coated substrates, aren't laser-compatible. Send us your material spec, and we'll confirm feasibility. Is laser cutting suitable for prototyping?
Yes. Parts can be produced directly from CAD, PDF, or other design files, which supports fast design iteration. This lets teams test dimensions, request FAIR documentation when needed, and validate a part before investing in hard tooling for larger production runs. When does laser cutting become less cost-effective than die cutting?
As volume increases, per-piece laser cutting costs can eventually exceed the amortized cost of die tooling. Our team can help you weigh volume, material, dimensions, tolerance needs, timeline, and whether parts need to be kiss-cut to a liner, then recommend the best process.
